The Portrait Session

often written about on the blog

Whether we’re looking at working with dogs, horses or humans, the process of the portrait session is almost identical. Learn about the steps involved below.

  • Step 1 - Let's do this

Just get in touch. Fill out this brief form and I’ll get back to you without delay.

  • Step 2 - The Consultation

Within a day or two I’ll give you a call to talk about your specific goals for the session. Whether its a single session or a series (think puppy/foal/family updates), we’ll talk about exactly what YOU want from the session and how we are going to acheive that.

  • STEP 3 - The Creation

This is where the fun begins. We’ll start by meeting at the previously agreed upon location then spend the next few hours getting just the right images. This is also the retouching and post-production phase. I’ll spend many days carefully crafting each image to create something truly iconic.

  • Step 4 - The Reveal

Here, we reconvene in person to reveal the pieces created in step 3. You will choose the images and type of artwork you want.

  • Step 5 - The Finale

The artwork is passed to 1 of 3 professional labs I deal with where they combine craftsmanship and care with modern technology to produce the bespoke artwork that will adorn your walls. As soon as I receive the artwork I inspect it then personally deliver it to your door.
